Haunted House is a specialty-grade single-origin Peru coffee from the Amazonas region, grown around 1,600–1,800 meters and washed before drying. The medium roast keeps the cup balanced and approachable, with smooth body, medium acidity, chocolate, lemon-like brightness, and herbal character. Varieties can include Typica, Castillo, Bourbon, and Catimor depending on the lot.

Medium roast gives Haunted House enough development for body and sweetness while leaving room for the Peru itself to show up.
Single-origin coffee gives you a clearer look at what one region, crop, altitude, variety, and processing style bring to the cup. Harvests can move, but the origin keeps its own voice.
This Peru earned the Haunted House name because it was smooth, approachable, and easy to like. It also makes a natural caffeinated counterpart to Silent Repose, our Peru decaf.

Haunted House works well in drip, pour-over, and French press. A balanced medium roast does not need an exotic recipe to show what it can do.
Try it black first. If you have spent years thinking you dislike black coffee, a smooth single-origin medium roast is a much fairer test than something stale, over-roasted, or poorly extracted.

Expect a smooth, balanced medium cup with chocolate, lemon-like brightness, herbal character, and medium acidity as a flavor quality.
Do not expect the deep roast dominance of Graveyard or Halfway to the Grave, or the lighter profile of Zombie Sunrise and Daybreak Mourning.

Why does the Haunted House label say ‘Blend’?
Because labels have memories. Haunted House kept an older naming convention, but the coffee currently inside the bag is a single-origin Peru. The house is haunted. The naming history is too.
What does washed process mean?
Washed coffee has most of the fruit removed from the seed before drying. The process often produces a cleaner, clearer cup where the coffee’s origin character is easier to distinguish.
Are the tasting notes added flavors?
No. Unless a coffee is specifically labeled flavored, tasting notes describe flavors naturally perceived in the coffee from origin, processing, roast, and brewing.
Does acidity mean sour or hard on the stomach?
Not necessarily. In coffee, acidity is usually a flavor description for brightness, liveliness, or crispness. It is not automatically the same thing as sourness, and it does not by itself tell you how a coffee will sit with your stomach.
